Portraits by Cecilia Paz are Realistic Oil Paintings rendered loosely, yet depicting definition. I work from life and from photographs. I like to meet the people who I paint in person and see various photos of them, if possible to get a well-rounded idea of what they normally appear like in most of their photos. There are many ideas we can come up with:
- Head and Shoulders (Begins at $850-$1,500 for 16 x 20″)
- Half of a Figure (Begins at $3,500-$5,000, size unknown)
- Three Quarters of a Figure (Begins at $7,500-$10.000, size unknown)
- Full Figure (Begins at $10-$12,000 and average $20,000-$25,000 and up, size unknown)

I also make Drawings in Graphite and Charcoal of Human Figures as studies and as final artwork. These are priced according to level of difficulty and time necessary to create them.
***I use Panels such as Hardboard, MDF, and Gessobord (by Ampersand) for Painting and would use Strathmore Illustration board or Canson Paper to Draw on. I do not use varnish on any painting and suggest to frame small paintings with glass. Glass is a porous material and will protect a painting having spacers. Lint and dust are attracted to small work and will damage it, especially if it is not dry within at least 6 months. I just do not use varnish at all. My work is matte.
